Improving health outcomes and advancing health equity within Haitian-American communities.
HAPHI strives to empower Haitian-American communities by improving access to health resources, education, and services, while promoting healthier lifestyles and social justice.
The Haitian-American Public Health Initiatives, Inc. (HAPHI) is a nonprofit organization committed to enhancing the health and wellbeing of the Haitian-American community. We achieve this by providing culturally competent services, promoting health education, and advocating for improved health policies.
Founded in 2005, HAPHI aims to address health disparities within Haitian-American communities by focusing on prevention, education, and policy advocacy. We work closely with local healthcare providers, community leaders, and stakeholders to create sustainable health solutions.
We provide community-based health education initiatives to increase awareness of preventable diseases, healthy lifestyles, and available health resources.
We offer mental health services that are culturally sensitive and tailored to the needs of the Haitian-American community, focusing on reducing stigma and improving access to care.
We advocate for policies that address health disparities in the Haitian-American community, including access to care, language barriers, and cultural competence in health services.
