Founded in 1949 in New Britain, Connecticut, EbLens grew from a small army surplus store into one of the Northeast's most recognizable streetwear retailers.
For decades, EbLens became known for offering premium sneakers, urban fashion, jeans, hoodies, jackets, and accessories from leading brands while providing exceptional customer service.
The company expanded across Connecticut, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New York, and New Jersey before closing its stores during liquidation in 2023.

Our History
EbLens was founded by Ebner "Eb" Glooskin and Leonard "Len" Seaman in 1949 after operating an army surplus store in New Britain, Connecticut.
Instead of selling military goods, the business shifted to clothing, work boots, sneakers, and casual fashion. The company quickly expanded throughout the Northeast and became one of the most recognizable streetwear retailers in malls and shopping centers.
By the 1990s and early 2000s, EbLens became known for urban fashion, opening stores in communities across Massachusetts, including the Boston area. Although the company closed in 2023, its legacy remains an important part of Northeast streetwear history.
